Hello,

I have been helping a client with her website.  I have been granted access to the portal, but do not have the credentials for accessing the website via FTP, etc.

The user account has full admin rights.

The website was developed by someone else in 2008, so I've had to go in and discover how the site is configured, etc. and make decisions based on that.

Here is the information I've been able to gather about the version number, etc.

DotNetNuke Community Edition version 5.1.4.  Of course there is a "Critical Update Available" but I can't download to the very root of the site since I don't have credentials; so I've ignored that.

The problem I have been having is that I cannot update the Site Settings without getting an error returned to me: "An error has occurred.
Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable."

I need to be able to access Site Settings in order to adjust the footer.  There is some content on that page that is in the footer.

Can anybody help?  Do I need access to the FTP / GoDaddy File Manager in order to solve this problem?

Thank you very much!

AFAIR there was an issue with site settings, i.e. you need to upgrade DNN, I suggest using version 5.6.3 atm. Otherwise you need to update values directly in the database, e.g. using Host :: SQL (entering "SELECT * FROM HostSettings" into the text box)
