I hesitated to do the noob thing and put (urgent) in the subject, but it really is. I'm not a .Net developer, but I am a seasoned IT Specialist.

It seems like this shouldn't be this difficult, since the ability appears to be built in to DNN.

However,
I've tried the built in PayPal subscription model, but that gives the user free access to the Subscribers role without ever going to the PayPal website for them to set up the subscription. I've double and triple checked all the settings for this, and it appears to be correct.

I've tried the Coding Staff Subscription module (Trial for now) and it works fine for the PayPal payment, but doesn't add the user to the Subscribers role.

I really need this working by tomorrow morning, and I've been trying to get it going now for 2 days.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you do all of this:

Subscription Roles

To block certain sections off your site, you will need to create role(s) that will you apply to sections of your site for view access. (This would be the membership section.)

On my site, I have created a Gold, Silver and Host role.

To create new roles:-

Login as an administrator of your site.
Navigate to Admin -> Security Roles
Click the “Add New Role” button.
Enter role name and description. (e.g. Gold Membership, 1 Year Membership Access)
Check the “Public Role” checkbox, this will allow people to subscribe to your role.
Expand “Advance Settings”
Enter the “Service Fee”, e.g. my site is $35 for 1 year access. So my service fee is 35
Enter “Billing Period”, e.g. 1 year ($35 every year)
Click the “Update” button.

Yup, did that. I even set the Trial fee and period to the same thing as the regular fee and period because just leaving it blank was like giving them unlimited free access.

Not once did the Subscribe function in the User Profile area link to PayPal, it just went back to the home page and gave them access to the Subscriber role.

You might consider using Ventrian's Subscription module. You do have to buy Scott's subscription, but if you do much DNN it is probably one of the best values in DNN. You get access to about a dozen modules with upgrades for a year for $49.95. Or if you host with one of his partners you can get a Hosting Subscription.

I'll check into it. I'm already trying the subscription module from Coding Staff, although it's not working 100% either.
