When I make changes to my live site these show up on Edit mode but don't show up in View mode i.e. for my regular users. I have a serious content issue I need to fix on my production server but I can't make this change show up.

I am running Professional 6.0.1 and I am set up for Direct Publish. The changes are listed in the version history so they are being recorded at some level but, as I say, they don't show. I have cleared my cache, etc, tried from a different machine, different browsers, etc.

Thanks.

Mark

I want to be sure I am clear on this because a) it's a major issue for me right now and b) it's very confusing.

If I go into Edit mode and edit the content (HTML Pro), I do NOT see the relevant content while in the editor (the HTML does not include the relevant content). I obviously don't see that when the module is rendered in Edit mode. That, of course, let me to believe that the content had been removed, as I had hoped.

However, when I switch to View mode I see the relevant HTML show up again (and of course the content is visible to users).

I'd really appreciate any help on this. I have some content my live site that I don't want viewers to see but I can't remove it.

Thanks.

I have had this happen to me, but in reverse (the content showed up in Edit, but disappeared in View).

This could be a CSS issue. Get Firefox, install the Firebug Add-in, and look at the CSS stack in debug mode. You will see which cascading attributes may be influencing the appearance/disappearance of your content.

Also, it could be a Permissions issue.

We just recently started seeing this exact same issue as well in our version of DNN 6.2.9.
All we did was move the site from a 2008 server running SQL 2008R2 with iis 7.5 to a new server running server 2012 running iis 8 and Running SQL 2012. We checked all the permission settings and everything is the same.

Our web admins login, make a change to web content then they proceed to hit "Save" for direct publish and we see the Update however the change does NOT occur when admin logs out and we view the website for the published change. The new updated content that was published does not show as changed. The OLD CONTENT is still there after we log out!
To trouble shoot, our Web Admin logs back in and we see the change WAS MADE successfully but does not publish direct.

Don't know if this is a separate issue but would like some Advisement on how to fix this issue.

We've tried the following with no success:
1) Restart Application = results No Change on web content
2) Clear Application Cache = results No Change on web content
3) Clear Recycle Bin = results No Change on web content
4) Delete the Text HTML for that page and re-paste the content into a new TEXTHTML RadEditor = WORKS but TOO TEDIOUS for an ENTIRE 40+ page website! Deleting and re-adding all the TextHTMLs would be like rebuilding the website.

There has got to be a better solution. Could the DNN Application possibly be corrupt?
Any ideas?

Please advise, will consider any solution as this is a huge issue.
