I have my primary web site hosted on our own servers and our blog (http://blog.<mysite>.com) hosted on WordPress.com. For various reasons - primarily SEO-related - I want to move our blog to be self-hosted. So, that means installing WordPress on our DNN server. We will probably take the opportunity to switch from the http://blog.<mysite>.com format to http://www.<mysite>.com/blog format (subdomain to subdirectory).

Does anyone know of any issues I should be aware of installing WordPress on my DNN server to serve blog content? I understand that I will effectively have two CMS's - but the benefits of WordPress (themes, plugins, etc) for the blog itself are too greate to give up. Our blog authors do just that - contribute to the blog - so they don't need DNN accounts.

Thanks.

Mark

Mark,

I frequently host WP and DNN on the same server and there has been no issues. That said, WP runs much more efficiently in a LAMP environment. You may notice WP using more server resources than your DNN install once and a while.
