DNN folk who administer sites with more than one portal will probably have the answer to this.

I would like to change the web address of my portal to use a subdomain.
I would like to create a subdomain  gardening.wildlondon.org.uk  and point this towards my existing portal.
I would like to do this without reprogramming / moving all the pages of the portal.

Is this possible ... I'd love to hear from you.

Kind regards  -  Hugh

Create the subdomain in IIS and aim it at your physical DNN folder same as the current domain aims at it now.

Log on to the portal using the current domain (not the new subdomain) and go to Admin | Site Settings. Find the HTTP Alias section and add a new http alias that matches your new subdomain.

Now you should be able to navigate to the portal with either the old address or the new one.

If you wish to remove the old address from aiming at the portal, then log on using the subdomain, go to Admin | HTTP Alias section, and delete the old domain as an alias for this DNN install.

Additionally, modify IIS so that domain now points elsewhere.

If you are being hosted somewhere or don't have direct access to IIS to accomplish this part of it, you'll need to reach out to some support for those changes.
