When I create a new portal it has no alias and when I look in the DB most of the values are null (AdministratorId, AdministratorRoleId, RegisteredRoldId, and even UserTabId, AdminTabId).  I use FTP and see that it created the directory.  I haven't added a portal in a while, but have succesfully added them in the past (11 that work).  I am an old timer and started when DNN was 1.x.x.  The last time I added a portal was somehwere around 3.1.x .  I recently upgraded to 3.2.2 but I had this problem before I upgraded.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-Mike

When you try to go to this module from Host/Portals you get this error which I have seen posted around the net but with no solutions:

Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The parameter 'roleName' must not be empty. Parameter name: roleName --->

Okay, here's a clue.  I can create new portals as long as I use a new user.  If I try to create a portal using an existing user, that's when bad things happen.  In the past I would create new portals using my own user settings and it worked fine.

Anyone have any ideas what might be going on here?

Thanks,

-Mike
