Hi,

I've noticed that the initial Host account, created duirng installation (DNN6.1.0) appears in the Admin>User Accounts lists. Roles for this user can then be managed with Admin only credentials.

Is this a new feature? Previously Host users could only be viewed by other Host accounts.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yes, this is a new feature (with some overlooked side effects)

Thanks for the reply Sebastian. Do you mean that the 'overlooked' side effect is that Admins can modify certain details of a host account? I'd say that was most undesirable - does this need to be raised as an issue?

Host accounts that I added subsequent to the installation do not show up in Admin>User Announts - it's just the host account created duing installation that shows up. What's the reasoning (and benefit) behind exposing only this host account to Admin users?

there was an intention to simplify manual installation process (auto still uses both accounts) by removing an extra site admin account, which gets granted site membership. AFAIK the issue has already been raised and the feature will be reverted hopefully in DNN 6.1.1

Sebastian, still the same thing in 6.1.1. I just downloaded and installed. Am I also understanding correctly that since there was no option to add Admin credentials in the install, that the admin and host accounts are one in the same?  We used to use the host account internally to be able to make site configuration changes and set up the admin account for the client to be able to edit content. Is there some way in this version to keep these separate now?
