Hi,

I'm having a problem with my DNN security roles.

I'm trying to accomplish the following: I've created a security role for my site admins that corresponds with their role in AD (lets call it cust_adm_role). Essentially, it's somewhat like the default Administrators security role of DNN. My page admins of course need to add new pages from time to time, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to work. When I go to the Pages.aspx page and right-click on the root of my site, nothing happens (when I should get the option to add a page). When I click on an already existing page to create a child page, I do get the text field to add a new page, but when I enter the name in the text field and click the "Create Page(s)" button, nothing happens.

However, when I add that user to the Administrators security role, I can add pages.
I've already checked the permissions of my cust_adm_role, and it has view/edit permissions on both the Pages.aspx page and the Pages module.

Am I missing something here? Or is this "works as designed"?

Thanks in avance!

Update: I have found out that it is possible to add pages through the ribbon bar...
I guess it's a bug then?

I know that this is possible in the Professional Edition, but I'm not sure you can in the Community Edition. See the breakdown of page permissions here: About Page Permissions

If you send me a private message I will let you know how it is done with a small hack.

Don't want to broadcast it online.

control panel allows to create sub pages for all pages, a user has edit permission for. DNN PE and Advanced Permission Provider by oliverhine.com do include a dedicated permission for this action.
