Hi

I just upgraded to version 6.1.1 and now I can not login to the site at all. The host password is being accepted but I am not logged into the system.

Has anyone encountered anything like this ?

This is urgent as I can not access the site.

Thanks

I am trying to work through every possibility to fix this. I have just registered a new user and I get this error message

Error: User Registration is currently unavailable.

The site sent me the user registration email so it looks like the user was registered. But when I try and login with the details of this new user, I get the same problem as above. Nothing happens.

What version of DNN did you upgrade from?

Do you have a backup of the web.config file? I would compare the original web.config file to the upgraded one, see if the MachineKey's are the same, they should be.

Though it sounds like you probably have some other problem with your site. Do you have access to your SQL server to run a query?

I have a login issue with DNN 6.1.1 recent upgrade too. This is related to AD Auth. I know I always have to re-add the line needed in Web.config to get the DNN-ActiveDirectoryAuthentication provider to work, but this time the addition of this line does nothing. I can auto-log into accounts already created but it will not create new accounts for me. I opened a case with professional support and I am also seeking out a thread the creator of the provider is on but I can say for a fact that the 6.1.1 upgrade breaks this. It worked last week before the upgrade. Any advice would help.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Chris

I upgraded from 6.0.2.  I have checked the webconfig file and they appear to be the same. We have access to the SQL server so what query should we run ?

Thanks

Stephen
