Hi,

I have a DNN 6.1.1 installation (running on win2k8 r2 iis 7)  that has been working for without issue since upgrading a couple of weeks ago. I could always navigate to http://localhost/dotnetnuke to access the host portal but for some reason, that seems to have stopped working. I know it has been working since the upgrade and the only thing I've done receently is some amendments to some skins but that shouldn't have had such an adverse effect.

All my other portals in the same installation are working fine which suggests IIS is working and .net is installed, configured and being served correctly. Navigating to localhost/dotnetnuke/default.aspx elicits the same response but I can view localhost/dotnetnuke/logo.gif successfully which points to a .net error. .net is allowed in the ISAPI And CGI Restrictions. The site is in the DNN app pool as are all the sites in iis. It's not a permissions issue as I've given everyone full control to the DNN root directory and get the same response. After all that, I'm stumped! Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

Ryan

Is this site still an application in IIS? Is it pointing to the proper folder on the file system?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I've been working on another project for the last month but this has now become a priority again. I've got a fre trial modules I need to take a look at but can't because I can't get the localhost site running.

The answer is yes to both questions. I can get the page http://localhost/dotnetnuke/errorpage.aspx to run sucessfully so it's literally just the default.aspx that isn't working.

I think I'm looking at reinstall. Something has gone a bit wrong somewhere and it could take me forever to find it.

Cheers!
