Hey All,

Can anyone else verify that paypal sandbox is not working for the built in payment processor code in dnn.

It appears the code to test for the sandbox settings is incorrect:

// Sandbox mode
                    if (settings.ContainsKey("paypalsandbox") && !String.IsNullOrEmpty(settings["paypalsandbox"]) && settings["paypalsandbox"] == "true")
                    {
                        strPayPalURL = "https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?";
                    }
                    else
                    {
                        strPayPalURL = "https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?";
                    }

The test settings["paypalsandbox"] == "true" does not work since the value of "true" is never found - since the value returned is "True"

This can be seen in the controls in the /Admin/Sales/ folder - specifically paypalipn.aspx.cs and paypalsubscriptions.aspx.cs.

Westa

sounds like an error, please log it at support.dotnetnuke.com so we can make the code a bit more resilient to casing (im wondering if this is a c# related item)

Note, you can override the value in the database directly for your testing as a work around:

update dbo.PortalSettings
set SettingValue = 'true'
where portalID = YOURPORTALID
AND SettingName = 'paypalsandbox'
