Hi there,

We're developing our own custom pages and we wish to utilize the latest versions of ASP.NET (4.0) and newer version of Telerik component for which we have bought a license. The pages are displayed in DotNetNuke using the iframe tag, e.g.

<iframe src="MyFolder/MyFile.aspx">

If we place our own folder with our ASPX pages into the root of DotNetNuke installation, we get a version mismatch since our pages would still refer to the "bin" folder of DotNetNuke/

One option is to create another virtual directory in IIS for our custom folder. This way it'll have its own "bin" folder with the correct DLLs and won't interfere with DotNetNuke.

However, is it possible in this scenario to somehow utilize the authentication information of the currently logged in use from within our page? Ideally we'd want DNN to pass some sort of authentication token to our page, then our page would call DNN back to check the validity of our token and either display the content or redirect to the login page.

why not migrating DNN to use .Net 4.0 (you will need to run the migration script in Host > Configuration Manager before switching framework).
