is the sibsite an application - if it's just a physical folder then you need to make it an application (right click the folder in IIS and select "create application") - you do not need to specify bindings for a subsite, they pick up the bindings from the root site in IIS - the physical folder option is to allow for a folder outside the root folder to be selected i.e. a virtual directory. Please note, if the physical folder exists outside the folder of the root website you can still add it -just right click the folder and say create application.
