Hi

I'm having issues at the moment with our company intranet. Users keep on complaining that they are getting logged out of the intranet at random intervals then they are having to log back in.

I've done some searching around on this issue and a few people have suggested that this is caused sometimes with child portals. We do not use a child portal, so I don't think that this is the issue.

I don't know where to start looking into this issue, I'm using the DNN active directory authentication module, it has not been changed at all, it is all completely standard.

Can someone please point me in the direction of things I should be trying to resolve this issue?

Thanks

Martin.

This can be caused by any request that DotNetNuke cannot resolve to a portal (i.e. a request without a pagename, tabid or portalid that can be resolved) e.g. if your site had a request for mysite.com/myfolder/thumpnail.aspx (where this was a direct page request and not a rewritten URL) then DotNetNuke has to assume a change of portal and expire the portalroles cookie. To determine the failing request, please run a httproxy such as fiddler and examine the output for when the portalroles cookie is removed.

I'm not sure but:
If you on page "mydomain.com" and make request to "www.mydomain.com" and DNN logoff actually loged in user, add site alias www.mydomain.com and domain.com in "Portal Aliases" section
