I'm trying to add a new portal to my installation.  It does not work.  Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

DNN 4.0
SQL 2000
IIS 5.0

I have DNN installed and running.  I've added pages to the default portal.  I've added modules to those pages.  I can get to my default portal at Zeus/MyDNN where Zeus is the server name and MyDNN is the default portal.  Now i want to set up another portal at Zeus/MyNextDNN.

Everything i see says to log in as Host and go to the Portal Admin.  Then add the portal either as parent or child.  I've tried adding new portals as both parents (Zeus/MyNextDNN) and children (Zeus/MyDNN/MyNextDNN).  From what i'm reading, i should be able to set these up and just click on the link and go to them.  They bring up a page not found error instead.

I could try setting up a new virtual directory in IIS, but isn't one of the features of DNN that you can set up multiple portals under one site?   What's up with this?

for a parent portal, you need to add a second virtual directory in IIS, for child portal not. Child portals require to create a subdirectory named like child portal name with a redirecting default.aspx inside - check, if this folder has been created / make sure, that the worker process is allowed to create it.

I set up a new Virtual Directory and pointed it to the same location as my default installation (d:\program files\dotnetnuke\website).  The parent portal is working now.

Thanks!
