Hello all,

Is it possible to import a module/page template from a different DNN installation? You can assume the versions of the two DNN installation are the same. I want to copy the content of a text/HTML module to a newly installed site of the same version. Can I do that? Or, any reference?

yes, you can select the export option on the html module and then use the resultant file to import to a totally different one (it only passes the html content and not any images).

please be aware, that links to images and documents in your site might get broken during export/import.

The problem I'm facing on 6.1.3 is the templates either silently do nothing using the site wizard or they won't show up as available to mport if I try hem one at a time. It would be nice if something fails to know why, but it's also troubling to figure out what magic is needed to get exported content recognized.

please log it as an issue at support.dotnetnuke.com (and attach an example of a failing template so we can recreate the issue)
