Hi,

I've created a role. and assign it to an user,
then in settings of my custom module set permission View/Edit for this UserName and Role.

I've used url control in editpage of module, but that user can't upload new file in editPage.

how to solve this problem???

the users role will still need permissions granted in the file manager (admin->file manager) as if they dont have write permissions they can't upload files.

I am having a similar problem.  I created a Role named "Document Management" and assigned a single user to it.  I added the File Manager module to a page and gave this role full permissions to the module & the directory structure (via the File Manager module).  This user can now see the file Manager module, but none of the menu buttons (Copy Files, Move Files, Upload, etc) are enabled.  Instead of a pointer/hand the cursor turns to a text selection tool when hovering over these buttons.  At my wits end, please advise.

please note that admin modules are not intended to be used by non-Admins. IMHO they should never been included in the (default) module list to be added to other pages.

I get that. But I have a need to allow users the ability to updates documents, PDFs mostly, on the website and currently I cannot determine how to allow them to do so. Much of this particular site's content is in the form of PDFs. I sold them onthe idea of a CMS - but now I'm telling htem they can't M their C!

Short of a custom module, is there no way, through DNN, to allow users to update PDFs (or other docs) on the site?

Thanks!
