Successfully installed DNN Community 6/01/03 per Chris Hammond’s webinar. Installed it first on Win 7, then Windows Server 2008 R2. Both using SQL Server 2008 R2. Both environments were installed under the default web site with the files under CL\inetpub\wwwroot.

I want to host a public site and installed the files in a folder c:\websites\site name. I created a new site (site name) and set the file security to use the site name app pool. SQL Server checks out – can use the site name database signing in with the site name login. I set the site bindings to both www.site name & Http://site name on any IP address.

Installation fails after taking an encouragingly long time spinning. “ Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”. Please help!
