Hi all,

I am having some difficulty with the portal address.

the address www. -----.org.au with or without the 'www' work well.

However if add /home to this address the page is not found.

-------.org.au/en-au/home.aspx works with no problems. The home menu tab is fine.

THis is producing problems particlarly with the new user registration email whihc sends portal name in the form of ----.org.au/home.

The portal default in the Hosts is www.-----.org.au

The form including the/home is included in the alias' for the site.

I'm using DNN 6.1.3

Anyone

any thoughts?

Thanks

Paul

It looks like you have multiple languanges set in your DNN install. Note the "en-au" within the URL that works.

I don't know how to fix this but I'd remove any unwanted languages so the URL went back to the default or try to find the code that sends the registration email and update the URL.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have and additional language - Australian English - its the only way I can work out to get the dates and time in the correct order. It is the default language for the site.

I have found where the email goes out but it only refers to "Registered User to [Portal:PortalName] " 'home' is not mentioned but appears in the email.
I can not find my portal being referred to with the addition of home antwhere in setting on host or admin.

Its as thought there is a redirection somewhere which I can't find.

Thanks for the reply

Paul

Hi Paul, if you just need en-au enabled, did you do as Mark suggested and disable (untick) any other languages (eg English-US) in Admin > Languages? This should give you ----.org.au/home rather than -------.org.au/en-au/home.aspx.

Hi,

thanks for the comment.

I've got around the problem by adding en-au/home etc in the language email send out for registered uses, but it seems like a gludge.

I'm a little confused about the suggestion to remove  en-us. I thought I needed the host default language to be us as this is the language DNN has by default. I have added for the site en-au as the site language and the en-us as a default if all else fails in the language area.

Can I remove all references to en-us?

Thanks

Paul
