Cliff;

Would you check the "PreferredTimeZone" Data Type ?

Admin --> User Accounts

Hove over "Manage" and then select "Manage Profile Properties" and click "Edit" beside PreferredTimeZone

 This value should be set to "TimeZoneInfo" I suspect yours is set to "Text"

I looked and it is set to TimeZoneInfo type. I looked at the other properties and they all seem to be the correct data type.

Ok... are you using any Language Packs?

What is your default language set to in this installation?

Is the Admin or any of the Registered Users in different time zones when this happens?

I am able to get an error message out of the system when changing a Registered Users' email address as an Admin but it's not even close to your error...

Here's what I am able to force:

2012-03-26 10:56:46,641 [********][Thread:6][ERROR] DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.User - Thread was being aborted.
System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Thread was being aborted.

   at System.Threading.Thread.Abort(Object stateInfo)
   at System.Web.HttpResponse.End()
   at System.Web.HttpResponse.Redirect(String url, Boolean endResponse)
   at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.ManageUsers.UserUpdateCompleted(Object sender, EventArgs e)
   at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.UserUserControlBase.OnUserUpdateCompleted(EventArgs e)
   at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.User.cmdUpdate_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

I have logged this in Gemini as http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V...

There are no language packs installed. Under Admin > Languages the Default is set to English (United States). I looked in the db in UserProfile table and only UserID 1 and 2 have a setting for PropertyDefinitionID=19 which is en-US. Then I noticed that the other 20+ user accounts have the language set for PropertyDefinitionID=38 at en-US.

I looked in the ProfilePropertyDefinition table and see a set of properties from ID 1-19. Then I see another set from 20-48, which I assume were created by Active Social.  Then I see two more properties that are both PreferredTimeZone. Look at the attached jpg. I have no idea how these got created. There is no data in the table fields except the DataType is 369, which isn't seen in any other row and definitely isn't 352, which ID 18 and 37 are.

I'm sure this is probably an issue? But I need to figure out how / when they got created and then what should I do?

I added a reply to Yael's forum post, regarding the password retrieval function in the Active Social Login control.

I don't see any problems with your profile property definitions, aside from the PreferredTimeZone for portal 0 not having a value for CreadtedByUserId, CreatedOnDate, LastModifiedByUserId, LastModifiedOnDate".
