Why do my old page urls go to the homepage instead of the 401 page?

Any thoughts on why this would be happening - any settings I need to be aware of?

Pretty sure by detault "not found tabids" go to home. I've used iFinity before to setup both custom 404 and 301 redirects when moving a site or doing a major re-org.

I am using ifitinty, but I thought if I created a 404 page then any "not found tabs" would redirect to this - instead they go home.

Great. Under Admin | Portal URLs click on the 404 Handler tab in iFinity's module. There you can specify the behavior you want and even point to a custom 404 page.

I think I found the issue. Thank you kindly for pointing this out.
