I keep getting this error. I have searched and added the validation mode parameter to the webconfig line

please ensure requestValidationMode is set to 2.0 (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10215378/validaterequest-and-requestvalidationmode-dont-work-with-net-2-0 ) - this is necessary to fix a breaking .net issue in asp.net 4.0. DotNetNuke will automatically add that in 5.0+ versions, but 4.8.2 is very very old and will not know to do this i.e. your hosting provider could have changed your application pool from 2.0 to 4.0 and caused this issue. On that note, I would highly recommend you upgrade as that version has known critical security issues.
