I've been asked to remove a couple countries from a website.  They are in the "country" list in host -> Lists.  I don't see an option to delete.  I'm assuming this is because this is part of the core system?  First question: Is there a way to localize to an individual site and delete from there?  Otherwise I'm not sure I want to remove from all sites on my system.  Second question: Is there any harm in manually deleting those countries from the DB?

you can't delete them as they're a system list which is not editable - part of the reason is so they tie to the entries provided by the countrlist lookup (which is used during registration to covert your IP address to the country you're in). As a system list they're host wide, so cant be created at the portal level - however I believe if you remove/edit them from the database the only effect will be that the countrylist lookup will default to no country selected.

Thanks. I figured it would not break or cause errors, just not default.
