Hello,

After moving site from site to local, It cannot be displayed some images.I read this article with domain lvh.me: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/EntryId/2999/DotNetNuke-Tips-and-Tricks-24-Local-Virtual-Hosts.aspx.

Can you please explain me what should be defined in PortalAlias and in IIS?

I have my dnn site in it's own subfolder (dnn) in inetpub folder. In IIS 7.5 I have dnn application under Default Web Site.

I deleted all rows from PortalAlias and Insert dnn.lvh.me. When I try to browse site at http://dnn.lvh.me, it shows Default Web Site. What should I set to achieve that dnn.lvh.me will show dnn application uder Default Web Seite?

You will likely want to create a new site in IIS with dnn.lvh.me as the binding for the site, not have DNN as an app under the default site.

Thank you, Chris.

This was my first IIS 7.5 settings. Maybee these details will help to someone else.

  1. Set PortalAlias to dnn.lvh.me
  2. Create new site (neither alias nor virtual dir) in IIS named dnn
  3. Add binding (right click on dnn site) dnn.lvh.me to dnn site.
  4. Set DefaultAppPool for dnn site.

Now it works great.
