Is it possible to change the Icons/Links in Common Tasks that is at upper left area of DNN when logged in as Admin?  I need to get to Pages all the time, but that Icon/Link is not in Common Tasks.  There are others in there that I never use.  Is this something that I can change on my end, or does it require a global change in a new DNN release?  Thanks!

you can edit the admin/controlpanel and change the ribbonbar ascx/ascx.cs contents, but that will be overwritten on an upgrade - what would be better is to copy and change those files and then select your own custom control panel via host->host settings

Hi Cathal - do you know how to change the Common Task URLs in older versions of DNN? My user accounts page keeps redirecting to a different page so I am unable to add new users :(  Can I change the redirect via the control panel if I log in as super user, or do I need to modify the back-end database.  Thanks - Jim

presumably you mean the iconbar - in that case it's set in the codebehind of the control panel (i.e the ascx.cs) -look for CommonTasks_Click ,. It has to pass the value of the module name to determine where it is (i.e. tabid and moduldie), before it can generate a standard link via the navigateurl function (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...)

Hi Cathal - thank you so much for your reply - really appreciated.

What I did originally was go to the user accounts page and added a 'new account' module. I expected it to add a new module below the standard user accounts pane (a-z of users, add new user etc), but instead it completely removed it :( I now can't get it back and it just shows the user profile module every time I click user accounts.  All my user management functionality has vanished. Any ideas on how to remedy this.  I would soooooooo appreciate it! Thanks.
