HI,

Is there anyway to get dotnetnuke to notify a user that has registered on a private site and has been rejected ?

Regards

JHF

not that I know of, however when they try to log in they will see the "user not authorized" message.

I was thinking I could use the edit user profile (ManageUsers.ascx and have a link on there similar to the 'unauthorise user' link and follow the code there where it sets the authorised flag to false and then copy where the authorise code sends an email but but use the Mail.SendEmail to send a custom message.

How does that sound are there issues with that that I haven't thought about ?

Thanks as ever Cathal.

Jacqui.

sure, that would work, but it requires a core edit so would need to be applied on each upgrade. I'd suggest you copy the code to a new module you create (it could be as simple as a razor module using the razor host module) and add the additional sendmail code there), that way you dont have to worry about upgrades. You could even create a new admin page for that module to live on.
