Does anyone have any idea why installing a module would take so long for my website to come back up. Just about every module installed takes 5 minutes to 20 minutes for the site come back up. I'm on shared hosting, and using the DNN 6.2 It's been doing this for several upgrades now.

thats not normal - dotnetnuke.com takes a number of minutes, but thats because it has thousands of pages and over a million users (most of the time is taken by rebuilding the cache entries after an app recycle) - unless your site is very large or you are extremely resource constrained it should only take a few seconds. You could try enabling log4net and set it to ALL in case that reveals anything useful - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/log4net-In-DotNetNuke.aspx
