We were changing permissions on a folder called images in portal root via the file manager and received the following error.

We now have two directories called images listed in the file manager window while only one physical images folder exists on the server.

How do we get rid of the duplicate folder and is this a known bug?  We are running DNN 6.2, a recent upgrade from 5.6.

Also, was there a change to security in general that would require us to set certain folder permissions?  A number of users have contacted us as they are unable to upload files to folders that were accessible prior to the DNN upgrade.

I haven't experienced this error myself but you might need to check out the Folders table in the database to remove the duplicate instance. I would recommend you also look at the FILES table to see if any existing files reference the folderid that you choose to remove before removing it. (backup the database first just to be safe)
