Good Morning!,

Whenever I try to create a new site within my base site and I check the box to keep the current user as the administrator I get this error message.

                Hashed passwords cannot be decoded.

Can someone tell me how to use the current user as the administrator without getting this error message?

I have another install of dnn and I do not get this error message. So I am at a loss as to what is different in the two installations.

Tony

if you are using DNN 6.2.x, please log this behaviour as a bug into the public issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com. you may create a new user and add the existing one later by registering for the new site with same credentials.

I am using DNN 7.0.6 on a shared hosting on Godady, and when i try to add new site and I check the box to keep the current user as the administrator I get this error message.
"Hashed passwords cannot be decoded."
If i uncheck the box and try to create a new user, i get the error message :
Access to the path '...\mydomain.net\dnn\dnn\Portals\_default\Default Website.template.en-US.resx' is denied.
Can anyone help me with this??

7.0.6 is rather old, I suggest upgrading at least to 7.4.2
