After Installing DotNetNuke 6.1.4 on a new Server with a fresh IIS installation, everything appeared to be working correctly. Then the System Administrator installed GroupWise WebMail on the system. In order to install that, he had to turn off IIS (probably because something was going to over-write part of the IIS stuff that would be locked if it were running).

Now my DNN site shows, but when you log into it as host, the new style control panel is about 20 inches high, and has mixed colors for background. If you change to the IconBar Control Pannel, that portion of the site becomes usable again. However, the hover buttons to show the Settings and Configuration options (and the Add New Item option) appears but does not show a menu at all. So you cannot edit the text of the HTML control because the Edit Content is only shown in the fly-out style menu. The link found in older versions/skins is nowhere to be found.

What do we look for to repair the site and get it to co-exist with the Novell GroupWise Web Mail server?

Any Help would be appreciated...

I would start by looking to see if there are JS and CSS references in the SOURCE (html view) of the pages being rendered by DNN.

I imagine that something is blocking those files, or rendering them differently, due to the changes made to the server.

Also, any reason you went with 6.1.4 and not the latest 6.2.3?

HAve you tried viewing this on multiple machines?

Do you have a screenshot you can post?

Have you tried viewing it with a different browser?

Definitely try to post a screenshot of what you see so that we can get a better feel for what is going on.

One of the recurring problems with newer version is that stuff gets moved around.

I needed to have a couple of profile fields included on the login form, and could easily do that with the 6.1.4 version. I could not find how to configure it with the 6.2.x versions.

One of the shortcomings of DNN has always been detailed documentation as to what has changed, and how task are affected with the newest versions. Menu options change, and to some it appears to be very logical, and to others it just appears frustrating.

I have many older sites that have not been upgraded to the newer versions simplyl because they are not broke!

The Image Upload capability is not active for me, so I cannot upload screen shots. I have taken them and would gladly provide them if I could but there doesn't appear to be any way to attach them other than use the Image Button, which produces the Image Manager lightbox screen, but does not activate the Upload File option there...
