Today I received a spam message from a person referring to themselves as Natasha Johnson from the DotNetNuke.com site. I wanted to report the message and or the account as a spammer but there doesn't seem to be any way to do that through the current site. Seems this needs to be added to the features of Messages or Users...

The profile account is: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/User-Profile/userId/959728.aspx

unfortunately this is a side effect whe, any registered user can send messages to other users. AFAIK your email address does not get exposed, until you reply ...

I still think this is just another example of how disastrously bad it is that users cannot remove themselves from the messaging system. I really doubt my organization can activate the messaging system at all until it's possible for users to hide their names the same way they hide other profile fields.

This issue just doesn't seem to be a priority for the DNN team.

The bigger issue that I'm concerned about is the lack of a community policing mechanism. There needs to be a way to shut spammers down quickly.
