Hi all,

My network team is making a change to my soon-to-be DNN install and gave it a dedicated IP.  By doing so, it changed the URL and I can no longer access the site since it's been changed.  Now I get the usual error:

Domain Name Does Not Exist In The Database

Since I cannot access the website via a browser, what can I do to manually add the portal alias so the new URL (http://10.200.100.191:86/) works?

I have full access to the database and made an entry in the table PortalAlias but it didn't work with the following data:

PortalID = 0
HTTPAlias = 10.200.100.191:86

What did I miss?  Am I supposed to enter record(s) in another table?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

Try adding an entry in your hosts file Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in Windows 7 for that address and the domain name you want it to translate to, then change your database back to the domain name.
