Hello,

I have a DNN 4.08.04 based site. And I have one specific role. What I want to do - I want to deny access to some pages only for users with this role.

I know how to ALLOW permissions from page settings, but is there any way how I can DENY access for specific role?

Thanks in advance.

Vytali,
I don't think you can do this in DNN 4.8. In DNN 5 (not sure which build), you have the ability to set an explicit DENY to groups. The permissions "checkboxes" cycle through blank, allow and deny.

I understand, thanks.

And in additional - I think there should be a place in code, where DNN is giving/checking access for pages. Maybe you can guide me where to look?

Thanks.

deny permissions have been added to DNN in version 5.0, for security reasons I suggest upgrading your website to 5.6.8 or 6.2.3

Yeah, I got it, thanks.

But now I want to look in DNN code (without updating) and find the piece of code which is giving (or checking) the permission for pages. Does anyone know where this code is placed?
