** DUPLICATE POST - REMOVED **

Ok, this new Forums Module is buggy as all hell. Submitting my response seemed to do nothing...so I clicked a couple more times...manual refresh showed my message posted several times. There is no "delete post" option which annoys the hell out of me, and editing an exisintg post (in IE8) has a script that causes IE8 to fresk out and display a warning about it being unresponsive and if you would like to terminate the script.

I am having nearly the same problem. I hover over the EDIT PAGE button, click "Edit This Page" and nothing happens. CLEAR CACHE and RECYCLE APPLICATION POOL also do nothing (compared to previous versions where you would see the page refresh). If I refresh the page, ONLY THEN do I see that I am in "Edit Mode". But if I then click "Close Edit Mode"...again nothing happens and I have to manually refresh the page.

Running:
DNN 7.00.00
Windows Web Server 2008 R2
IIS 7.5 (Application Pool: Integrated / .Net4)
Browser: IE8 and Chrome

If you are having problems with the new Control Panel - the most likely culprit is your skin.

First off - make sure that the skin explicitly declares the CONTROLPANEL elements - while in theory its supposed not to matter - we have encountered a number of skins that break in weird ways if this is NOT included

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="CONTROLPANEL" Src="~/Admin/Skins/controlpanel.ascx" %>
<dnn:CONTROLPANEL runat="server" id="CONTROLPANEL1"  IsDockable="True" />

ALSO - check that your skin does not have badly formed jquery code embedded in it.

We have encountered a couple of issues with jQuery.NoConflict() code breaking the control panel - all the element display but the BUTTONS dont work correctly.

Try running firebug in the firefox browser with script console debugging turned on the see what sort of scripting errors are being generated.

I am using the default skin that comes with DNN7. Shouldn't that one be completely functional?

Good morning,

Just made a copy of my 6.2.5 site and upgrade it to 7.0 and I have ther controlbar Edit Page not working. I love this new Control Bar and I would like to use it instead of the classic ribbonbar.

I enable the script debuguer in IE and here is the script error I am getting when I click on the Edit button

SCRIPT5009: 'pageTracker' is undefined
taglinks.js, line 45 character 2

Look it is related to Google analityc.

I have tried all the other solutions and nothing work except to switch to other site menu style than
contol bar.

If that could help.
