Hi,

I can log in under an admin user and edit everybody else's account but the one I have logged in as and if I log in as somebody else I can edit the account but not the new one I am logged in as.

I understand not being able to delete the account you are logged in as but is this correct behaviour?

Regards

Jacqui.

Jacqui,

I suspect that the account you want to delete is the portal's admin account, and therefore, you can't delete it. Select another admin account in the portal settings as THE portal administrator, and it should work.

Best wishes

HI,

Thanks for your quick reply Michael.

I don't want to delete the user, like I said I could understand not being able to do that but I want to edit my user while logged in as myself.

I went into log view and found there seems to be a problem.

I get a null reference exception for this line (40) <%=LocalizeString("RequiredFields")%>

I put the string "RequiredFields" in the resx file but that didn't seem to help.

Appreciate any further help :)

Regards

Jacqui

Jacqui,

if that is the problem - the localization in DNN works a bit different than in ASP.Net, so please try to name the key "RequiredFileds.Text".

Anyway, this key is in the /App_GlobalResources/SharedResources.resx file, so it should not be a problem.

Best wishes
Michael

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I looked in sharedresources.resx and indeed it was there already but still giving an error as Object Reference not set.

I have temporarily put in the text string 'Requred Fields" just to see and now it is giving me the object reference at pageno further up the page in the javascript.

I definitely have something out of synch, just not sure what.

Jacqui.
