Hi All,

I have searched the forum and the internet but cannot find an answer to this question. Feel free to redirect me if this has already been asked.

When I create a website for my clients, I offer them a number of additional modules; most of which are not needed off the bat. At this point, I simply install all of these modules when I hand over the website. This allows the client to access them at any point in the future.

I would prefer to avoid this approach as 90% of the modules are never used. Instead, I would like to add the modules to the "available extensions" section of DNN. The client could then install them if necessary.

Is it possible to add modules to the available extensions? If so, how do I do it?

Thanks,

Ryan

Ryan,

this is quite easy: change the filename extension of the install package from *.zip to *.resources and place the file under /Install/Modules, /Install/AuthSystem, /Install/Provider, /Install/Language etc. (where it is appropriate).

Best wishes
Michael
