Is it possible in DNN 7, to set it up so that users who sign up and have profile to have URL's that reflect their user name instead of all the Home/tabid/88/userId/2/Default.aspx stuff behind the dot com?

 ie; Currently it's www.domain.com/Home/tabid/88/userId/2/Default.aspx
I'd like to get something like www.domain.com/username
Is this possible?

Jeff,

Not sure if you are aware, but DotNetNuke recently acquired iFinity, a software vendor from the DotNetNuke ecosystem and the URL Master module was part of the acquisition's IP. In Bruce Chapman's (owner of iFinity) write up about the acquisition he mentions vanity URLs for user profiles at the bottom in the grid section.  Check out the blog: DotNetNuke Corp acquires iFinity Software. I believe that's what you're looking for.

AWESOME!!! Thanks for the feedback. I will read up on it, and apply it.

 Thanks, Jeff...

Jeff - I'm not sure you would want to use "Username" for security reasons.

In my site that I have been working on, we are planning to use:

/users (members directory)
/users/{userid}

Clint is right though - the acquisition of ifinity will make this possible.

I agree with you, and it may be an option, the reason I asked the specific question is that my client wants it to be the way that I described, but she understood your suggestion and agrees with you, but she prefers the user names, but she is open to your suggestion if the other way is too cost prohibited.

 Thanks for the suggestion.
