I want to have a link which will be provided by email that will take the user to a page which requires the user to login if not already logged in.

If the user is logged in, the link I provide takes them directly to the page.

If the user is not logged in, they detour to the login page ... and then are dropped at the home page instead of on the page specified by the link.

How can I make this work correctly, by which I mean that after login, if such is required, the user is taken to the target page?

Currently facing this on a DNN 4.9.5 install.

Michael,

In the SITE SETTINGS > USER ACCOUNT SETTINGS > LOGIN SETTINGS section do you have a page specified as the "Redirect after login" page? If so, try removing that page and I think your target link will work.

Thanks - removing "Home" from that setting (leaving it blank) allows the user to be directed to the correct page.

Just what I needed ...
