I am bringing up a Real Estate broker's site. The main site is not ready for prime time yet, but one of the Agent's wants to bring up his subportal now... I've been trying to get the Agent's domain name to resolve to the subportal with no success.

I have IIS setup to use the base portal as Home Directory. I have added the Host Headers for the Agent's domain in the Advanced Website Identification. The subportal and main portal aliases are set to the Agent Host Headers. But, invoking the Agent's domain still resolves to the Main Portal.

Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

have you set up the portal aliases? This is what dotnetnuke uses to resolve URL's to portals i.e. log in as host, go to admin->site settings, scroll to the bottom and make sure you've added your alias's there. Please note when you create a child portal in dotnetnuke, theres no need to create an alias, as we use subfolders to handle it for you

I have tried various configurations - Parent Portal with the aliases, child portal with the aliases, both with the aliases. All configs resolve to the Parent portal.

One other bit of info - the parent portal is not tied to any domain yet. Is this causing the prob? So, in DNS I have the domain set to the IP of the Parent portal. Not sure how else to get the domain to resolve to the child portal

Any ideas?

Thanks!
