I am finding that my Register link is failing... when I check my events log I see this:

System.ArgumentException: An entry with the same key already exists. at System.Collections.Specialized.ListDictionary.Add(Object key, Object value) at System.Web.UI.ClientScriptManager.RegisterExpandoAttribute(String controlId, String attributeName, String attributeValue, Boolean encode) at System.Web.UI.ScriptRegistrationManager.RegisterExpandoAttribute(Control control, String controlId, String attributeName, String attributeValue, Boolean encode) at System.Web.UI.ScriptManager.RegisterExpandoAttribute(Control control, String controlId, String attributeName, String attributeValue, Boolean encode) --- End of inner exception stack trace

I see the statement about the "same key" and I have had a failed attempt to install a 3rd party "Dynamic Login" which I have now removed, but do not know how or where to check for this key, or how to correct the problem.

Anybody have any clues?

Thanks, Patrick

I recently had a very similar problem and the reason was rather bizarre so you may want to check your web.config file for any rewrite attributes.

I removed mine and it worked.

Mark, thanks for the reply.

I'm not too familiar with the content of my web.config file (nor the purpose of all that code!). I searched the file for "rewrite: and located this:

add name="UrlRewrite" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.UrlRewriteModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" preCondition="managedHandler" />

Is that what you are talking about? Or is a "URLRewrite" different from a "rewrite"?

Patrick
