So, I don't know if I can even get help for this, but I've recently been put in charge of updating the website for the company I work for, but we're running an old version of DNN... 4.08. At this point, I basically can't do anything because I'm getting errors whenever I try to create folders or upload files in the File Manager.

Here's the error I get when I try to create a folder called 'test': Access to the path \'test\' is denied.

Here's the error I get when I try to upload an image: An Error Has Occurred When Attempting To Save The File D:\sites\single55\proobject\webroot\Portals\0\images\r_april-showers.jpg. Please Contact Your Hosting Provider To Ensure The Appropriate Security Settings Have Been Enabled On The Server.

My account has administrator privileges. Is there a way to fix these issues without upgrading to a more recent version of DNN?

Thanks.

that typically indicates a windows permissions issue i.e. the account that the website is running under (networkservice or the user associated with the application pool), has insufficient permissions e.g. perhaps it only has read permissions but you need read, write and modify permissions

So I would need to check the folder permissions for the folder in which the CMS is contained?

Also, another thing, when I go to my host File Manager, I can create folders in the DNN content management system folders but the change isn't reflected in the DNN file manager. Could the problem still be Read/Write permissions on the host?

OK. So the read/write permissions for the folder that contains the DNN content manager system are incorrect? Also, I can use my host's File Manager to create folders in DNN's image directory, but the folders don't show up in DNN's File manager. Does this still line up with your solution or indicate something else?
