I have a client running DNN 7.00.04 who is reporting that the User Interface bar is behaving unreliably in different browsers. Specifically:
In Chrome 26 and Firefox 20, the UI disappears when moving to a different page of his site.
In Internet Explorer 10, the site will not go into Edit mode; it just stays in View mode.
In researching this issue, I have found that there is an issue in IIS pre-Windows 8 that is blamed for these problems, and I have changed the User Interface setting from CONTROLBAR to RIBBONBAR under Host Settings --> Other Settings as a stopgap measure. This at least lends some stability to the UI in FF and IE, but Chrome just doesn't like DNN, even if I use the old version 5 interface.
So, my questions are: 1) Are these issues resolved in DNN 7.00.06? Comments on Codeplex suggest not. 2) Does anyone know any other ways to make DNN7 and Chrome play nice?
