Hello,

I am currently running DNN 6.1.5 Community Edition and I would like to modify the password name or description in the user registration area.

I would like it to simply state that the password requires at least 7 characters.

What is the best way to accomplish this?

Thank you,

Shane

Shane,

this can be done under Admin :: Languages (sounds a bit silly, but that's the way it works). Click the Pen in the "Site" column and find the text you want to change (most propably you find it under Local Resources :: Controls :: App_LocalResources :: User.ascx) and change it. Click "Save Resource File" - et voilà.

Best wishes
Michael

AFAIR the key is in localResources > DesktopModules > Authentication > DNN

Thanks Sebastian. Your answer got me close. I did a bit more searching on the forum and found an earlier post from you at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/197/threadid/447900/scope/posts/threadpage/1.aspx which worked like a charm!

The location of the settings is: \DesktopModules\Admin\Security\App_LocalResources\User.ascx.rews
