Hi; I just upgraded from 5.6 to 7.1 and find that the User First and Last Names are no longer required or solicited. How can i force that to be required. Can't find a configuration option.

Regards

What was the answer? Because when somebody else has the same question, they might find this topic.

Am I correct that you found that the first ans last names are no longer (also) in the account properties and are now only in the profile properties where they are optional by default, but can be made mandatory in Admin :: Site Settings :: User Account Settings (tab) :: Profile Settings (folder)?

To force the first and last names to be displayed when a user attempts to register, you must set their profile values as mandatory. (site settings / profile settings)
