I am using a free version of a dnn skin called MinimalExtropy - index 1280 I want to remove the Dnn Search from the menu bar. I assume I would have to find the ascx file and change it there? So questions are, if I do have to change the ascx file:
1. Where can I find it
2. which part do I have to change
3. would I need to edit the ascx.res and the ascy.ccs also?
Any help would be appreciated

Disregard.... Im going to make this an informative one due to me finding the answer myself.

Here is how I did it:

I went to my FTP file manager:

Then to Portals>0>Skins> MinimalExtropy> index 1280.ascx

I then searched with my browser for "search" I removed the following and saved:
<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="SEARCH" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Search.ascx" %>

< div class="search_style">
< div class="search_bg">
< dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH" CssClass="ServerSkinWidget" UseDropDownList="true" Submit="Search" />
< /div>
< /div>

If your cutting and pasting remove spaces in between < div, < div,
< dnn, < /div, < /div
