I'm not sure when this started, but I am experiencing some strange behavior with the default DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider. I start with the editor in Design Mode and with the follow HTML already entered:

Paragraph One

Paragraph Two

In Internet Explorer, if I combine the two paragraphs together by clicking at the start of the second paragraph and pressing 'Backspace', I end up with the correct response of:

Paragraph OneParagraph Two

In Chrome, with exactly the same action, I end up with:

Paragraph OneParagraph Two

Even more strange, in the HTML module editor I don't get the behavior - everything works fine. The modules which I have tried and which have the problem are the DNN Q&A module, Cart Viper, SunBlogNuke, Active Forums and editing a user biography, I did try disabling all Chrome plug-ins to see if this helps. I also tried on three different computers. Need to resolve this.

The HTML which did not come out in the above post is:

<p>Paragraph One</p> <p>Paragraph Two</p>

<p>Paragraph OneParagraph Two</p>

<p>Paragraph One<span style="font-size: 13px; background-color: #e8e8f0;">Paragraph Two</span></p>

We also encountered problems in Chrome. Some functions in the editor such as Image manager, Paste and template manager does not work. The pop-up window does not show up. They are all working on IE and FF. We updated the settings of the editor. It finally works normally in Chrome.

Host > HTML editor manager > Everyone > Common settings > Content Area Mode > change to DIV

Thanks for the suggestion of the 'Div' container.  It still gives a problem (but it is better).  This is what I get now when I use 'Backspace' to join two paragraphs:

<p>Paragraph 1<span style="font-size: 12px; color: inherit;">Paragraph 2</span></p>

For some reason it is still inserting a 'Span' tag.  Good news is that is is not inserting a background colour - so at least things look right.

I've also noticed that <span class="gmw_"> gets inserted into the text on various operations.
