I have used self signed SSL certificates for my mail servers by creating and installing a P12 file on the workstation. I am wondering if I can do the same thing to restrict access to a DNN site if the machine does not have a certificate installed. We have an external site that we only want available to our domain users and I can push the cert out through group policy. Does anyone know how to set up the site to deny access to machines without the certificate?

it's actually an IIS configuration issue and not a DNN issue - see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/li...(WS.10).aspx (and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/li...(WS.10).aspx will likely be required also)

Thank you for the links, great info.
I guess if I only want one portal to be restricted, I can install a second instance of DNN in a separate IIS site and make the restrictions on that site. A little more involved, but workable.
