This is on a site that started with DNN 5.x and has been upgraded (through time) to DNN 7.2.1.

I noticed that new users have not been able to register on my site.

Turns out that I was using the old "Users and Accounts" "Add A User" registration form... when I need to be using the newer "Accounts Registration" module...

The problem is... I don't have that module.  The extension is installed (says it's not in use), but the module doesn't show up.

I did a fresh install of 7.2.1 on another site... created an install package for Registration, re-installed it, but I still don't have the Accounts Registration module.  I compared the settings between the sites, and all the settings seem to look ok.

How can I get the Accounts Registration Module to show up?

How did the upgrade done, there is a suggested upgrade path on the wiki? Was the SQL Compatibility Level of the database changed (see my blog on this site) before upgrade to DNN 7? Is the Skin or any module using it's own jQuery or jQueryUI library?

it's actually called "Authentication" and you should find it under host->extensions. If it's there, click the pencil to edit and ensure the "is premium module" checkbox is unchecked and that the module is assigned to the portal. Note: sorry about the confusion, historically the "friendlyname" of a module was what was shown but this had the disadvantage of meaning other modules could not use that so the modulename column was introduced -typically both those columns contain the same values (or very close) but in this case it's not so clear.

sorry, right explanation, wrong module - the module is listed as "registration" in host->extensions but shows as "account registration" in the drop down
