I recently inherited control of a DNN 7 site and the profile page is missing some functionality. I should be able to see a messages tab and a notifications tab on it, but all that shows is my profile picture, name, and nothing else. Is there some skin setting that would hide these? Did something get corrupted?

it could be a rendering issue (i.e. bad skin markup/javascript causing the button to fail to show), but it's hard to say without seeing the whole page. Also it depends on how old the site is, if it was very old and had been upgraded a number of times then certain of the social functionality would not be enabled/available (as an upgrade should not overwrite users settings where possible) - http://www.ifinity.com.au/2012/07/31/... covers lots of the optional capabilities
