Help, I need to learn how to delete users in the masses from my volunteer fire company's website. I have about 2000 users that were created in what seemed like OVER NIGHT! What's the best plan of action to remove these SPAM accounts? :-/

I was thinking a SQL script which I could launch to delete the users that recently joined, but I'm not familiar with the DNN tables enough to make this happen; does anyone have any suggestions?

unfortunately, this is a common problem, see http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-....
if you are using verified or private Registration mode, all accounts may be deleted by using "remove unverified accouns" in Admin > User Accounts (and afterwards hard delete it).

I added a custom required field on user registration on one of my sites (that had a lot of spambots trying to register) about a week ago. This seems to have taken care of the problem.

Thanks for the advice; I'm glad I'm not the only one having this same issue. I managed to disable the "registration" feature on the site, but now I'm stuck with 300 pages of registered users!

Is there a way I can export the list of users to a CSV add some SQL commands around each user that is bogus, and then run that SQL command to remove the users that I know are BOGUS?

Hitting the delete button for every user is going to take me a year to complete!

Also, these bogus users logging into my site are causing my event viewer log files are filling up my Database Storage Limits. Is there a way to schedule the event log to be purged daily?
